Overview of the Data Centre
Axle Hosting servers are housed in a secure data centre in Toowong, Brisbane. We can supply bandwidth and co-location rack space for your current servers, or supply you with the best rackmountable hardware, backed by the skill of our trained engineers. The data centre comprises APC’s InfraStruxure technology with a Hot Aisle Containment System (HACS). The data centre is comprised of 20 racks in two rows, four APC InRow Cooling units and one APC Symmetra 160KVA UPS.
The InfraStruxure design allows the selection of standardised components to create a solution through modular configurations. This standardisation enables an easily scalable architecture designed to meet changing needs and future expansion.
The Data Centre boasts UPS with backup generators, fully redundant incoming power supplies, diverse redundant network feeds, fire suppression, HACS air conditioning, multi-stage identification processes with 24/7 security.
Axle Hosting networks are all fully redundant Cisco and Procurve switched Ethernet providing 99.9% availability.
The data centre provides the following features...
- Extra Redundant Air-Conditioning
The air-conditioning systems are fully redundant, covered by a support contract and 24/7 active temperature monitoring and alarms.
- Unlimited Power Supply (UPS)
The facility has 3 phase UPS with 24/7 Onsite maintenance and alarms. So if there are any power failures, the server will automatically switch to UPS, without any downtime.
300KVA Diesel generator, with automatic start/stop on mains failure. If the facility is without power for a continued period of time, the generator will keep the facility operational.
- Physical Security
24/7 security monitoring and camera surveillance, including the building exterior, interior and the data centre. Electronic audited smart card building access and PIN coded security to the facility.
- Super fast Internet connectivity
100Mbps Routed TCP/IP connectivity to the Internet. Connection from the Internet are secured by firewalls, and optional IPS security.
- Optional private network connectivity
512Kbps – 2Mbps Routed TCP/IP connectivity between multiple customer locations and the data centre (connections can be made from any Australian state using available connection types). Connections are fully private and do not traverse the public internet.
